$8,178,680.80 jury verdict in wrongful death caused by texting while driving
On November 19, 2025, a jury in Caldwell County, Texas held a defendant responsible for a wrongful death caused by the defendant’s texting while driving. The defendant crossed the median and hit the oncoming car head on, killing the driver and severely injuring one of his daughters who was a passenger behind the driver. The deceased driver left behind a wife and two young teenage daughters. The case was tried by Byrd Davis partner Robby Alden.
