Community Involvement

Austin has always been built by the people willing to invest in it, not just through commerce, but through a genuine commitment to the schools, programs, and organizations that give this city its character. When local businesses put real resources behind the students and communities around them, the impact travels far beyond the moment of the gift.

Since 1959, Byrd Davis Alden & Henrichson, LLP has stood alongside Central Texas families during some of life’s most difficult moments, and our commitment to those families does not stop when a case concludes. Our attorneys understand that a community’s strength is built over decades, and our firm’s history in Austin reflects a sustained investment in the people and places that make this region worth fighting for.

Supporting Student Voices: Anderson High School Speech & Debate

Few activities prepare young people for the challenges ahead the way speech and debate does. Byrd Davis Alden & Henrichson, LLP is proud to serve as a business sponsor of the L.C. Anderson High School Speech and Debate program, one of Austin’s most competitive student teams. Competing at tournaments across Texas and the nation, Anderson’s debaters develop critical thinking, communication, and advocacy skills that follow them well beyond the classroom.

The Anderson program is open to every student at L.C. Anderson High School, and business sponsors play a direct role in making that access real. Tournament costs, coaching fees, and travel expenses can place real barriers in front of motivated students, and the team’s booster club relies on community partnerships to fund more than half of its annual operating costs. Each sponsoring business helps ensure that a student’s participation is determined by their commitment, not their family’s budget. Byrd Davis Alden & Henrichson, LLP is honored to be part of that effort.

The Timberwolf Golf Classic: Cedar Park High School

Student athletics depend on community support in ways that are easy to overlook until programs begin to feel the strain. Equipment, registration fees, and facility costs add up quickly, and without reliable fundraising, programs that have long served their schools begin to shrink. The Timberwolf Golf Classic is Cedar Park High School’s annual fundraising event hosted at Twin Creeks Country Club, and it stands as one of the Austin metro’s most recognized community efforts on behalf of student athletes. Byrd Davis Alden & Henrichson, LLP is honored to be a sponsor of this year’s Golf Classic, and that sponsorship reflects our commitment to the Cedar Park community where many of our clients and neighbors live and raise their families.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Cedar Park High School Football Booster Club, which works to ensure that Timberwolf athletes have the resources they need to train, travel, and compete. Cedar Park is one of the fastest-growing communities in Central Texas, and events like the Golf Classic demonstrate that growth does not have to come at the expense of the programs that give it meaning. When local businesses invest in student athletic programs, they send a message to families that the community sees their children and is committed to their success.

Our Commitment to Central Texas

Byrd Davis Alden & Henrichson, LLP has called Austin home for more than 65 years. Over that time, we have watched this region grow from a mid-sized state capital into one of the most dynamic cities in the country, and we have remained committed to the communities that anchored that growth. Community involvement, for us, means directing meaningful support toward programs that make a real difference for students and families in the areas we serve. Our partnerships are selected with care, and they reflect a genuine alignment with organizations that prioritize access, opportunity, and the long-term well-being of Central Texas communities.

Our current community partnerships reflect a consistent set of priorities:

  • Youth education: supporting academic programs that give students the critical thinking and communication skills to succeed in any environment
  • Student athletics: funding fundraisers that keep competitive sports accessible regardless of a family’s financial circumstances
  • Central Texas focus: investing in organizations serving Austin, Cedar Park, and the surrounding communities we are proud to call home

Community involvement is not a seasonal initiative for our firm. It is an ongoing expression of the values that have guided us since 1959.
